DON'T SIGN UP I have had nothing but problems with my service since day one. I must have talked to 50 different people and i have been put on hold for a time total of about 30 hours. Nothing is being fixed. They do not deliver what they promise yet you have to pay $200 to cancel crappy service.

3 words, battery moisture sensor. Anytime you have a problem with a phone you are told you have had water in your phone. Of course the same sensor on the phone itself is always fine proving that you have not had wtaer in your phone. The sensor on the battery will turn pink then red over time just from the moisture of your fingers touching it. I have 4 phones on my plan and have been with alltel off and on for over 15 years and even though I have carried the Assuron insurance plan on the phones they always claim that the phone was wet. One rep. even told me that if you carry a phone in your pocket or use it even in your car with high humidity you will turn your sensor red. Now does that sound right to you? If you are looking for a phone carrier, think twice before going with Alltel. I still use them as I need the coverage they provide but if there was any other option you can guarantee that I would not be an Alltel customer.

I can't even begin to say how many times I have waited for 1 hour or more to get NO customer service from Alltel. I can't wait for my contract to end.......I am being held hostage!

Oh my gosh! Words cannot express how upset I am. I've been an Alltel customer since before Alltel existed, contracting with 360 Communications. In all my 11 years, have I never seen such blatent disregard for customer issues, coupled with a sincere lack of concern from Alltel phone support. After an argument with a friend, I decided to suspend his service that I both started and paid for. There was a password associated with my account for privacy and confidentiality -- so I thought> Alltel breached both, to which there is no excuse! Alltel allowed a strange (to them) man to call CS, obtain information about my account and payment history, and restore the service I suspended service on 919-698-1018 and someone was able to phone Alltel for account information and successfully obtain service restoration. I spoke with several customer service operators who were just like "oops!." Alltel is going to the dogs and if the service does not improve (try hiring competent staff), not only will I stop my service, I will encourag my friends and co-workers to do the same. Alltel has a very large account at Duke and althoug I cannot speak for Duke's administration, I can certainly urge my co-workers to select the "Verizon" option for wireless service. I never thought I'd see the day where my wireless company betrayed my trust, privacy and security. I will be sending this communication also to Corporate as well as to Mr. Ford. I understand from one operator that should I decide to stop the suspension that I would be credited from the day I initiated the suspension -- which was never done. Satisfaction WHAT?

Ditto the comments above, nothing ever gets fixed. It took them 6 months to credit a misapplied payment and in the mean time I still had to make another payment. I have been with them since 2001, No matter what month it is and how many minutes I have they always bill me more than my plan. That's why I am here, looking for another provider.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CELL SERVICE IS BAD. THEY PROMISE YOU THINGS THEN IGNORE YOU WHEN THEY DON'T DELIVER.
Suzanne Taylor United States/virginia/hampton [Jul 10, 2006]
The customer service people are nice but the complaint is never fixed. Month after month after month. My phone was stolen and the new owner was running up 6000 minute bills. Month after month and many calls to them the problem is not fixed. Now my contract is up. They will not negotiate a better deal in spite of the countless hours I have spent trying to unscrew their mess. I hate them with a passion.
