Canceled my service and paid last bill plus $200 early termination fee. Then I get a phone call from Alliance One collection agency saying I owed $350. Seems that after changing my number so it was local (this was over a yr. ago in TN) and being told that there was no charge for this, I now have two accounts and am being charged for termination fee and what all I'm not sure for the first number. Same phone. Just requested different number. After numerous calls to both customer service and finance, I've been told by some I don't owe anything to I owe $710. Do they pull figures out of the air? And when you get a name(they won't give you last name) and try to refer to that person, no one has ever heard of them. Do they make up names? All but one person was rude and insulting. Horrible attitudes. Today, while speaking with "Ann" in finance, I asked to be transferred to someone else within her dept. as we just weren't getting along. She refused and stated that they had done all they could for me and she could only refer me to the collection agency. This whole thing has been surreal and beyond anything I have ever experienced.

Alltel has compleatly ruiend the service in this area it takes at least 10 tries to talk to some one becouse your call WILL be dropped (even in Good 5 bar service area) they have terible customer service in fact you get better C.S. from the compatition on alltel phone's then from alltell. verizon (not in the area) provided good coverage in the area untell alltell bought cellone and that has been blocked out but is still better than the local alltell service. you pay $100 a month to get notified of the calls you missed a day after they were made and voice mailes are up to a week late

I've been an Alltel customer since the mid-90's when it was Cellular One. Recently I've been having a problem with my account that I don't even want to go into because I've explained it to about 100 different representatives. I've been told 100 different stories by those 100 different people, and I'm sick to death of the lies and broken promises, and even though I'm an honest person and I pay my bills, I'm not paying these creeps one more red cent PERIOD. They can shut my phone off, send me to collections, whatever they want to do, I work hard for my money and refuse to give it to a company that treats their customers like this.

No service. They have cut off my service evcen though I have paid even more than I owe.I hace cogestive heart failure and depend on the cell phone for 911 calls. I have contacted the New Mexico Attorney,s office about tIOthis. My credit rate is high. I am 77 so also contacted the AARP and they are starting a investigation.It is impossible to contact this outfit by phone and never a live person. In short you are one poor company.

Alltel sucks! If you go to St. Louis its hard to get full service. Thats why I got rid of Alltel and got Cingular Wireless. Ive NEVER ahd a dropped call with them yet! AND theres no Roaming! Its the best! I always have GREAT service everywhere i go! And there coverage is the best! They dont lie like Alltel does! And i can go to over 200 countries and its like im right @ home! Cingular Rocks!

COmplain to the Attorney General of Arkansas (that's were the corporate office is)http://www.ag.arkansas.gov/complaints_consumer_online.html, then complain to the FCC (http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cib/fcc475.cfm), Complain! COmplain to the BBB https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/complaintlink.aspx and your states Attorney General. Then contact the corporate office: Seems promising, tell them you have a complaint for the office of the president. I think if we all band together we may help change this evil companies ways! I was an Alltel customer for just under a year, and it was torture. The phone I purchased did not have all the functions it was promised, it didn't work in the locations they said it would (and when it did work anywhere it was no more than two bars), they stole from me, and lied to me. During the middle of my tenure, my phone was shut off a week after I paid my bill. I called to find out why, and they said I didn't pay enough. I checked my records and I paid the exact amount I was supposed to. I called back, and apparently, they changed my pay day and I went over. I told them that if I didn't get my service connected free of charge that they would be in serious trouble. They quickly activated my account, but did not compensate me for the two lost days of service. This is one of the many problems I encountered, but the last straw happend a few monthes later. When I entered a store to pay my bill, I asked the salesman to verify if that was the day I was supposed to pay. He said yes. The next day my phone was turned off...of course. I called CS and they told me that I paid a day early, and that the money I put into my account was not part of my plan, and all the minutes I used after that I had to pay for individually, and I would have to pay an additional fee to have my account re-activated I explained that the salesman verified the day, and that it was their fault. The CS rep then explained to be an important policy that Alltel enforces: IF ALLTEL COMPENSATES A FINANCIAL DISCREPANCY NO MATTER WHO'S FAULT IT IS, THEY WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN ON THE SAME ACCOUNT. Because they had already fixed one problem they made a few monthes ago, they were not obligated to fix another. I filed a complaint with the BBB but Alltel did not address any of my concerns in their reply. DO NOT DEAL WITH ALLTEL. WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA, AND I DON'T JUST MEAN CELL PHONES.

I recently went to Oregon for the birth of my "first" grandbaby... much to my surprize when I rec my bill it was over $500.00!!!! for charges I DID NOT OCCUR!!! phone numbers that I have no clue who they are!! Yet when I called them about this, they told me that i did not pay the bill they would turn my phone off!! I told them to go ahead, and i would seek a attorneys advice. Needless to say, my phone is still on, although they say i still owe the $$$$!

I must be the exception looking at the other reviews. Never a problem, best rates on plans (we have 3 lines) any issues that do arise get taken care of. Have been w/them 4 years, was w/Cingular, who I liked as well, they just were not as competitive w/multiple lines. HUsband got Verizon through work recently - IT SUCKS - DO YOU HEAR ME NOW!!

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! They billed me incorrectly, I refused to pay until they took off the false charges, they finally took them off and then added a $75 charge for disconnection (which was THEIR fault for not fixing my bill!!), then I refused to pay the $75, so they added on $400.00 as a "breaking the contract" fee, and turned me over to collections!! I have been working since September of 2006 to fix this and cannot get anyone at alltel anywhere, including the internet, to help me!! I have been transferred from person to person, lied to, threatened, and you name it. My next step is my attorney and the Better Business Bureau, and anyone else I can get to!! NEVER USE ALLTEL - THEY ARE THE WORST OF ALL THE PHONE SERVICES!!

Relocated to an area where alltel had no service, they would not work with me at all. I had only three months left on a two year contract and they wanted a 400 dollar cancellation fee, because it was my fault they had no service in the area I was relocated to for work. they suck
