I have been very pleased with Alltel... in every way... for almost 3 years.
I went to Santa Fe, NM for 6 months--service was great across the country. No dropped calls at all. I frequently go to Myrtle Beach, SC to visit my Dad and Sister...no problem there. My Dad has Verizon, and must go outside of his condo to place calls (too much steel & cement in the condo he says, for reception)... my little phone works well indoors.
My 1st phone "became posessed" after about 6 months. I called Alltel, took it to a local "store" (in Myrtle Beach). They gave me a "loaner", as it would take a few days to get a new phone of my model in. (They also promptly transfered my contacts.) In 2 days called to tell me my new phone was in. I went to pick it up--contacts transfered to the NEW phone (and they wiped the "loaner" of all my info).
Customer service has always been polite and helpful. Most times above and beyond their job description. No one has ever been snippy or disrespectful.
My ONLY concern is the merger between Alltel and Verizon. Alltel will 'become' Verizon. Had I wanted Verizon in the 1st place... I would have gone with them. |
